Chapel and Wedding Ceremony Information
Kings’ Chapel stands on land granted to two Revolutionary War veterans for their service to our country. With the land grant came the appeal to develop the area from the mouth of Arrington Creek to newly settled Franklin. Originally constructed in 1804, the Historic Chapel and the Great Lawn surrounding it have been an integral feature for the Arrington and Triune communities of Williamson County, TN and hosted a number of significant guests. Davy Crockett spoke to pioneer settlers here before heading West. Andrew Jackson rallied “Volunteers” from the front steps. The United States Army used the chapel as a strategic headquarters during the Battles of Triune and Stones River. Serving the settlers of the area as a church meeting house and school, the Historic Chapel became the heart of this developing community.
The Historic Chapel is now restored on its original limestone foundation blocks with modern amenities including handicap accessibility, electricity, air conditioning, heat, and restrooms. Antique flooring and church pews complete the historically accurate restoration. The restrooms are located directly behind the chapel. The women’s restroom boasts a sitting area for dressing.
The stunning and elegant simplicity of this lovingly restored historic building provide an unparalleled backdrop for your beautiful wedding.
The chapel pews seat 96; however, additional chairs may be added to accommodate up to 175.
